>To Gia Moran,
> I don't believe God needs paganistic holidays to save his people. Most of
>what I see on these days is Santa Claus being exalted above Jesus on Christmas,
>and his Resurrectionn being contested on Easter. Besides, where in the bible
>did God use the aid of paganistic holidays to save his people, or even observe
>paganistic holidays. True apostolics do not practice paganism. Jesus being born
>on December 25th is a lie. Apostolics should find it offensive to take false
>gods and idols and bring them into the birth of Christ. The entire Christmas
>celebration is a lie. , and Easter descended from pagan sun worship. Catholic
>Doctrine simply paralleled the pagan death and resurrection myths of the sun
>gods with the story of Christ's crucifixion and Ascension. Christ now rises
>with the ascending sun at the time of the Vernal Equinox when plant life and
>all forms of vegetation appear again on earth, and is celebrated with the same
>customs as that of the Heathen rites namely, rabbits, chicken, and colored
>eggs. So to simply give this holiday a different name is not within the will of
>God. God is not in the business of deception so he will not be a part of a lie,
>nor will he allow his people to be. We are to worship him in SPIRIT AND IN
>TRUTH. If you want more information on paganistic holidays let me know. My info

Greetings in Jesus name.

Love is always armed with zeal; and she is ready to draw this dagger
against ALL truth's enemies. Zeal acts like a fire: if it is pent up in the
heart of a private Christian and cannot flame forth to punish evil it burns
inwardly, grieving and consuming the spirit of the Christian for not
rescuing truth from stampeding profanity and ERROR. It is no joy for a
zealous lover to outlive his beloved; he would rather lie down with her in
the dusty grave than span a lonely life without her. "Let us also go, that
we may die with him," Thomas said when Christ told him Lazarus was dead [Jn
11:16]. The melancholy of living in evil times prompted Elijah's solemn
prayer for death: "It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life" [1 Kings
19:4]. The holy prophet watched as men courted idolaters and killed God's
servants. He decided it would be better to leave the world rather than live
in the torment of seeing the name, truth, and servants of God trampled by
the very people who should have shown the most kindness to them. But if
zeal has any power to vindicate truth's cause, then her enemies will know
without a doubt that she "beareth not the sword in vain" [Rom 13:4]. As
meek as Moses was, and mute in his own cause, his heart was too inflamed
with anger even to pray for his people- as much as he loved them-until he
had vented zeal in justice upon the idolaters.

Truth finds few people who love her freely, just for herself. And only
those few will suffer with truth and for it. When the worldly dowry is
gone, the unfaithful are bored with their union with truth. The kitchen
fire burns no longer than the fuel with which profit feeds it. If you
cannot love naked truth, you will not be willing to go naked for truth. And
if you cannot love disgraced truth, you will never agree to be disgraced
for its sake. Neutral attitudes, however, can see truth and error scuffling
but keep their distance and refuse to get involved in suffering for truth.
The Christian who does not have enough love and courage to defend truth in
their lives will not likely defend her at the burning stake. If the fire of
love goes out, or dwindles so that it cannot melt the man into sorrow for
the wrongs done to truth, where will the flame be which should enable him
to burn to ashes under the hand of bloody men? If he cannot shed tears he
will not bleed for truth!

"A lying tongue is but for a moment," yet truth's age runs parallel with
God's eternity [Prov 12:19].

Love in Christ
