                                REVIVALS

I believe it is the Coast Guard which, at one time, had the motto, "Eternal
Vigilance is the price of liberty." I don't know if they still have it or
not.

But it would be a very good motto for the Christian Community to have.
Certainly, we individual Christians should practice constant vigilance, lest
we slip from our determination to live separate from things which would drag
us down and rob us of our fellowship with the Lord.

Our walk with the Lord is sort of like a garden of flowers or vegetables. If
not tended faithfully, the weeds take over, and soon we have only a mess
instead of a profitable garden.

If we do not guard our walk of righteousness, it is only a matter of time
until unrighteousness will begin to make its way back into our lives. The
jungle takes over if we don't cultivate our ground.

We need to call on God for Revival. Revivals change the course of peoples'
lives. Also the course of families, churches and communities. Revivals have
been known to change the course of nations. We need a Revival of
Righteousness.

Revivals are given in God's Mercy-- not because we deserve them.
