Good question.  I guess because the KJV is "quotable."  I think the language,
even though considered "outdated" by some, is beautiful and fun to read.  I like
the KJV to read from and to hear quoted from the pulpit.  But, I also like to
have other versions at hand for study purposes in order to get a better handle
on certain words or phrases that are hard to understand in the KJV.  I like the
"thou"s and "thee"s and "ye"s, etc. because (to me) it is somehow more majestic
than some of the newer translations.
