I remember a few months ago on CHRISTIA, I was debating (giving instruction
to a more "perfect way") with those that were of the persuasion that a
convert receives the spirit of God immediately upon baptism in Jesus name
or sometimes with belief in Jesus, when the conversation gravitated towards
there being no more apostles around for the gift of "miracles" to be
transferred from one human to another through the laying on of the hands
of the apostles. Since, they said, there are no more apostles, a person
can't experience the same power of God as they did back then.

I challenged them to seek out the apostles of God. They may/may not be
in religious organizations. Many thought it was a waste of time to consider
the possibility that apostles still are appointed by God (and maybe not
ordained by man) doing God's work.... it was really sad.
