Hi Terry!
    You might do a good check on your history. Yes there was a pagen 
celebration during the time of Christmas but the Christians did not 
celebrate it. What the pagens celebrated was different than Christmas. 
The reason the christians celebrated Christmas at that time is because 
of the great persecution against the christians so they could not 
celebrate openly without getting caught unless the pagen's were busy 
"festing" themselves. Christmas is a completely different holiday from 
the one the pagens celebrated they just both happen to be celebrated at 
the same time. I have relatives in the Las Vegas church and they 
believe as you do. They really had me feeling guilty and worrying for a 
while. Then I looked into it. Maybe you should do the same. It's pretty 
understandable how one could confuse it. I does look as if we took a 
pagen holiday and changed it but that's not the case.  God bless!
