This is more of a reply to Sis. Conant than anyone else who has twisted my
message and implied that I was comparing the Christmas celebration to burning
children in the fire. I don't understand why she did not get the true meaning
of my message (from Deut 12:30-32) which was very straightforward: we are not
to become ensnared by the things of this world, as much as they may look
innocent and harmless, just because the world takes part in something or
excepts it as norm, does not mean that its right in the sight of.God. I believe
its God's will to those he brings to the light, walk in the light. I have not
always been in opposition of Christmas. I once celebrated it myself; when I was
lost. But since I've been saved, God has blessed me with revelation upon
revelation. So its only natural that I would want to share this knowledge with
someone else. How can you call this legalism. I have brought facts before you,
not lies and the moral laws of men. I understand that people have there own
self- convictions ( I don't know if you were serious about the hairbow question
or being sarcastic, or what, but I've never heard of such a thing, a hair bow I
assume would be something that pertains to women so why couldn't they wear it?
) and that evry one will have a different walk with God once they are saved
(and hopefully remain saved), but I do not consider myself to be judging others
or self-righteous when I show others what has been shown to me. Paganism and
idolatry are serious offenses against God ( I am sure knowone would argue
this), and it becomes even more serious once the light has been revealed as any
type of sin because there remains no more an excuse for disobedience. Many
women consider wearing pants the norm, even Christian women, and even if you
told them its may not be Gods will that they wear pants, they might consider
you to be judging them and being self-righteous (but is this really the case?).
No (except that your heart be not right, or you be a hypocrite of some kind).
You are just telling them what has been revealed to you ( and to many men and
women this is not obvious, at least not without it being concrete, even when
looking at the scriptures).
If I have offended anyone then I apologize, but if I had hid what had been
revealed to me than would I be wrong? Was I supposed to have kept that
information to myself? There have been many things that I have given up since
reaching salvation. None that I regret. Some have been my own self-conviction
(such as football), some because I want to keep his statutes/laws (pagan
holidays, and practices;and I am not saying that Resurrection Sunday is a pagan
holiday; but when rabbits and egg hunting come into the picture, Christians who
have come to the light should no better about such things).
It says in the bible in 1 John 5:2-4
2 By this we know the children of God, when we love God, and keep his
commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and HIS
COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the VICTORY
THAT OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH.
Everything that quit doing that I felt was wrong I did in faith, and I
like I said I have not regretted it. None of his commandments have caused to be
bitter, or in a state of depression. I understand that you are not me, and I am
not you, but it is true that it is possible for all of us to be like Christ.
Well that is all I have to say. I wont tarry any longer with this issue.
GOD BLESS ALL,
