More Higher-Fire Admin stuff

Greetings Saints in Jesus name!
A pretty good idea has been brought forward (in my estimation) that
I think we all would like.
I don't think any of us *really* are praising the Lord for trimming down
the volume of postings to Higher-Fire because we all (yup! we all) talk/write
too much. I'm guilty... I know it...
The suggestion has been made to configure our listprocessor (for Higher-Fire)
so that all the messages sent in are distributed in the middle of the night
(when most of us are probably asleep - say 4 am). Then when you check your
email in the morning, or afternoon, or evening that's all the email you'll get
from H-F during the course of the day.
That'll do a couple of things:
A) everybody gets the mail delivered to them just like a morning paper
on your front porch ready to be read. It won't be digest mode, where
you get one huge piece of email with everything stuffed into it for
the day, it'll just be the normal delivery of *all* the postings
suspended till a certain unknown time in the wee hours of the night/
morning.
Under this plan, there'd be no limits on the number of messages sent
out by prairienet.org, they'd just be suspended till one time of
day every day to be delivered.
B) it'll allow ample time to scan over all the day's messages to compose
a proper response to all of the email received for a particular thread
(Readers Digest Mode). You'd just have to reply before the mail is
distributed for the next day (emphasizing "no hurry"). I mean, you'd
then have all day to think about it, get your scripture text together,
pray about it, compose it, etc. before sending it off.
C) it'll allow you to read your email at *any* time of the day (morning
cup-o-coffee, lunchtime submarine sandwich, post dinnertime, etc.)
and give you a window of opportunity to respond in a timely manner.
D) it'll allow *deeper* discussions (because more time is allowed before
distribution) and (hopefully) tend to curb some of the emotions that
might potentially flare because of a sore nerve being trampled upon.
E) it'll allow you to sit down at the computer and check email from H-F
only once per day because it's only distributed once. Nothing new
will arrive in the middle of the day because it won't be distributed.
You won't *miss* anything that's even *about* to be distributed.
You can collect the mail in the morning, and send your response out
at night (or whenever you're ready).
F) it'll potentially skip the "middle-of-the-day" computer problems
that bring networks and machines down unexpectedly to the point
where mail is undeliverable which would result in an automagic removal
of a subscription from the listproc. If there are delivery problems,
then, all we need to do is get you a copy of the DIGEST for that day
and get you resubscribed/reinstated.
G) it'll allow for the checksum error rejections/resubmissions a posting
possibly only a day late (we'll have to see how this works)
H) it'll potentially allow for a single piece of email that could be
distributed daily for announcements, advertisements, notices, etc.
You'd just have to submit your announcement in advance... (that is
if this is successful in the way we can implement this *delay* of
postings)
Something it won't allow:
I) Immediate delivery for prayer requests and praise reports. We'd have
to figger out a way to accomplish this in the event that we need to
get immediate word out somehow.
Please send comments about the potential of this personally to me or
Bro. Richard. All comments are welcome.
