I used to condemn so-called religious holidays at one point. There was a
point in my life where I condemned almost everything that I felt was
wrong...makeup, women in pants, jewelry, televisions, etc...all the way
down to open-toe shoes...

As I began to meet different Apostolic people from different walks of
life, I had to begin to rethink things. Could I honestly say these people
weren't saved because he had a television? or because she wore sandals?
On the other hand, look at it this way...what if someone receives the
Holy Ghost today and has a Christmas tree at his house...does that mean
he no longer has the Holy Ghost? or must he immediately remove the tree
from his house and destroy the gifts under it??

The answer is no. That person will enjoy Christmas this year with a
special gift...the Holy Ghost he has just received. Maybe in time the
Lord will deal with him concerning the paganism of the holiday, but until
then he is innocent.

For those of us who already understand the paganism of it, we would be
wrong "if and only if" we celebrated the paganism of it! I personally
don't bother with the tree, but our church does have Christmas and Easter
programs. I don't particularly care for them, but we have them, and YES,
many visitors do come just for that reason.

Bibically, I cannot say we SHOULD celebrate the birth and death of our
Lord, but neither can I say we should NOT celebrate them. It's something
that remains a personal conviction, similar to head coverings in the
Corinthian church.

If you check History, neither Christmas nor Easter are accurate days.
Christ was born around September....(quite possibly on my birthday)...and
either Good Friday is wrong or Easter Sunday is wrong....if he remained
in the ground 3 days and 3 nights, then he either died on Wednesday, or
rose on Tuesday...based on Sabbath information, Im inclined to believe he
was crucified on Friday and rose on Tuesday...

Anyway...I have learned over the past 16 years to "learn" from other
people of the faith and not condemn or criticize their convictions.
