Paz De Cristo!
I greet all my brethren with the Peace of Christ!
I find the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics and it's relation to the Bible very
interesting. I want to thank you for your insight on this matter. It makes
good sense. My professor on the other hand disagrees with this law
s
supporting the existence of God. He acknowledges that the earth is not
a closed system but takes the whole universe as a isolated system. Here's
some of his ideology taken from our text: Powerplant Technology
"Because the universe is an isolated system it does not exchange energy
across its boundaries; i.e., it is adiabatic. Because it is full of
irreversible processes, it follows that: The entropy of the universe
is continually on the increase and the end of the universe would occur
when entropy is at its maximum, i.e., when all energy has been dissapated
to a bottom state, when all availability is lost, when all matter is at
the same temperature and no life, as we know it, is possible." pg.22
This tells me that He beleives that as energy cycles the isolated system
it will dissipate increasing the entropy and no one not even God gave
prevent that from happening. I meant to say not even God can prevent
the destruction of humanity. I beleive I do serve an omnipotent and
sovereign God that sustains all things by the Power of His Word.
God Bless you all,
