Nah, this is all crazy... lets get a scope on reality here people.
Jim Jones was just a sociopath, like others...
He labored in religion the way many whackos and lunatics do... So
happens it was Pentecostal style. He was in appearance a Gene Scott
type nutcase who was anti-establishment with a big "counter culture"
following. The sad thing is some Pentecostals were probably real
thrilled that this guy got some national press coverage, till it
started to look weird.
What did he do? Its not complicated.
He just brain washed some people, got them to donate all their money
made them paranoid about "the world and the devil" and with their
twisted condition, and him up against a wall, he did what many
monsters do: He murdered a bunch of people convincing them they were
doing it for God. They didnt drink kool-aide testing God or anything..
They KNEW they were comitting suicide. He turned them so inside out
they didnt know WHERE they were or what its all about.
Come on, where is everyone's simple awareness of current issues ??
There are LOTS of manipulative, sicko people in religion, and one of
the reasons why the government RIGHTLY looks into whackos who claim to
be preachers. I'm surprised we still have any liberty at all
sometimes, but God is good.
