Good for you Steve!  I do not remember if it was your posting or
someone elses a little while back, but the "History of the church in
France" was very illuminating on this subject.  I have personally done
research (early 1980s) on similar church history in Germany shortly
after the time of Martin Luther, and more recently on the church in
England around 1000-1100.  The evidence all confirms that God has
*ALWAYS* had a true church since the initial outpouring on the day of
Pentecost.  Oh yes, and don't forget the Coal Mines revival in Wales
at about the same time as Topeka/Azuza.  

God has *ALWAYS* had a church ever since he created one.  He said he
was coming back for his bride, and that no man knew the hour or the
day.  If he had no true church, then at those times he had no bride to
come back for, so he therefore would not come back, so there was no
urgency to man to come to God.  It is *IMPOSSIBLE* that he could not
have had a church somewhere at all times since Pentecost.
