There is the *impression* of a person here that has been seriously
wronged. You comments suggest that we either believe the press or are
negligent. Are you convinced of what you are reading? If so, why? It
implies that American Christians at large are ignorant or uncaring,
but neither is true.

I won't address this further, but there is a principle here:

Information is power.

1. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation

2. The world is ruled by the prince of the power of the air.

Consider the struggle that goes on for the "airwaves". Someday in the
not too distant future we may even loose this medium, but the power of
truth will not be thwarted. However, should the "press" disappear,
your awareness of this "great injustice" would fail. Do you not
believe that God is a just God? That being so, are lies and mistruths
prevented before they reach the ears of mankind?

Let me answer. The emeny of the soul absolutely depends upon a
constant flow of information. You may infer that I am opposed to free
speech. On the contrary, I am its greatest advocate. The opportunity
exists like never before to preach the gospel and see real liberation
take place, without political motive. However, the real world runs on
an economy of half-truths, and deceptions.

Pilate asked a very serious question, and was most sincere wehn he
pondered "What is truth"? Wise men of all ages have known that the
slant which they receive needs be subject to question and close
investigation, lest we answer an issue before we have heard it. (Prov
18:13).

Anyone ever called to moderate an argument knows the pitfalls of
dealing with the "information channels" of the human spirit when the
message is purposed for the justification or condemnation of a human
being. (Read the book of Job, for starters). Does anyone "swear to his
own hurt" ( per Psa 15:4) ? Not many. How many are justified in their
own eyes, but not sufficiently sober to recognize the limits of our
vain self-reflection? Most. Get one party to tell you, "what
happened". We are AMAZED to find out that EVERY (even the simplest of
stories) have TWO sides. And what is the best microscope for the
dividing of these sides? Pit two human beings against one another
motivated by the existance of an audience.

Jesus Christ, the VERY SPIRIT OF WISDOM, steered clear of this. "Who
made me a divider over you"?

Who doesnt feel injustice? Friend, are you aware that there are few
guilty men in prison, and none deserving of the punishment of law?

I can't say if the man is innocent or guilty. Neither can you. Prayer
is always a good measure. Perhaps some Europeans would like to come to
the US, and demonstrate in the streets. After all, we sent our finest
overseas to demonstrate during the vietnam war.

Please don't be too offended by my sarcasm. In fact, discussing
endlessly and fruitlessly matters so serious as life and death
troubles me. We can't settle this, and it is not a matter for
discussion in this list, in my opinion.
