A dispute that has gone too far and too long

A recommendation to certain "contentious parties" on this mailing
list:

Even the apostle Paul had his disagreements:

 Ac 15:39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed
    asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto
    Cyprus;

Such a disagreement did not invalidate the ministry of either of the
two parties. They separated and both continued to minister. That
Mark followed Barnabas did not lessen his ministry either.

The wisest man that ever lived once said:

 Ecc 3:1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under
    the heaven:

 Ecc 3:7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to
    speak;

 Ecc 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

 Ecc 3:9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

Jesus was right, and he knew he was right, yet:

 Mt 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said
    unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou
    be the Christ, the Son of God.

 Mr 14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high
    priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the
    Blessed?

The disciples got rather argumentative once (use your imagination, and
imagine Peter in an argumentaive mood before he received the Holy
Ghost!) and had to be rebuked by Jesus himself. Don`t let this happen
to you:

 Mr 9:34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among
    themselves, who [should be] the greatest.

After Elijah had demonstrated that the LORD was on his side, he spoke:

 1Ki 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye
    between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God, follow him: but if Baal,
    [then] follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

The best way (IMHO) to settle this dispute is for you to continue to
post the excellent God inspired messages that you have already
developed a reputation for in this mailing list, and leave off
attacking each other.

I pray for all of you.
