Brethren and Sistern!

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus!

I had a series of blessed and wonderful experiences over the last year where
the Lord has spoken to us and given us direction. He illuminated my under-
standing regarding a passage of scripture and showed me that we were to
leave El Paso. Just a couple of months ago my wife was asking Him for
direction and he caused the minister to preach a message about Abraham leaving
his country and not knowing where he was going. In a message in tongues and
interpretation He told us to take the step of faith and He would direct our
steps.

We got busy and put our house on the market. I knew that we were taking steps
to get out of El Paso but had the feeling that the Lord was going to require
something else as "the step of faith". I just came back from vacation on the
9th of October. I had gone for prayer in the morning and didn't feel any
specific direction in prayer, I decided to go to prayer again at lunch because
of some events that took place on my return to work that morning. In prayer
I realized that I was to go back and resign. I believe that this was
the step of faith the Lord was speaking to us of. Friday the 20th is my last
day on the job.

I have been looking for an employer in areas that I would consider relocation
to but have no specific direction from the Lord to look in a particular
area/state/city. As you can imagine it is very interesting trying to get
somewhere without knowing where to go. I feel very secure in trusting the
Lord because I know that He has never failed. I've been in this place a
couple of times before and the Lord has always provided. It's not a situation
I would choose on my own because I like the security of a job. That is
probably why He wanted me to quit and trust Him. I am not opposed to
relocation to any place the Lord directs me to. (don't want direction by
men's reasoning though) I have expanded my search to responding to adds for
areas that I previously would not have desired to move to. I am very open to
the Lord's will in this.

I would certainly appreciate your prayers during this time of change. I know
the Lord will give us direction. I want to be alert enough spiritually to
receive it.

In Christ,
Mark Strahan
