Part 4

Jessie was determined to walk to school the next day! He got up, polished
his church shoes (he knew his feet were going to get a lot of attention that
day!) He noticed that all the swelling and most of the bruise was gone from
his ankle and although it was still a little stiff (it was in a cast for 3
days) and maybe a little sore he realized God had defiantly touched it! He
could not wait to get to the high school to show off what God had done. in
fact He ran the last 2 blocks to the school.

Unfortunately He did not get the reception at the school he had
anticipated. His first period teacher immediately sent him to the office
who forced him to call his mom to come get him, the school refused to allow
Jessie to attend school without the cast or a Dr. release stating that he
was OK.

So Jesse's Mom came and took him back to the Hospital where the X-rays
confirmed his healing. The Dr. could not explain how there was not even
indication of an old break much less one less than a week old. He did
however give Jessie his release.

Back at school the news had spread! Jessie taught a repeat of the previous
weeks lesson on healing, the one big difference is that most of the joking
and laughter had been replaced with interest.

On Wednesday night Bible Study at the church (San Pablo UPC) I watched as 22
High school students from Richmond High filed into the church and filled the
3 back pews of the church, Jessie was radiant, Gone was his limp and on
his face was the biggest smile I can remember! I don't recall how many of
Jesse's 22 visitors served the lord, some did, I think a couple got into
the ministry, I know that one of his Anthropology Teachers eventually was
saved, Quit teaching in California and the last I heard was a pastors wife
in south Texas or Louisiana (That is another story) through the years I have
lost track of all but Jessie.

The story I have told you about God Healing his ankle is true and
verifiable, It all happened because Jessie believed God (Isaiah 53) and God
honored that faith with a miracle.

In comparison to the test of faith that God was to later put Jessie through,
The healing of his ankle is small miracle (if there is such a thing) I can
see now that God was preparing Jessie for what was to come. I will end this
story with

Just 2 thoughts

1. If you put your faith in Jesus he won't let you down, Try It!

2. Even a young person CAN be used if he is willing to put forth the effort
and trust God.

I did not realise how long this story was going to be so I will stop hear
unless the group wants to hear the rest of the story. It is worth hearing
but then I guess I am a little closly invalved.

My name is Jessie Michael Harvey, My friends call me Mike.
