Death before Eden?

Yo saints!

* My "personal" view of Creation has flip-flopped amongst all the major
* theories extant. I currently lean to 6-day literal creation, but it
* does seem to collide with the fossil record. Yes, I've read the stuff
* from the Institute for Creation Research; some of it's pretty good,
* some of it's pretty shaky. For example, I find their ideas on a
* "hypobaric atmosphere" to be really bizarre.
*
* I do think evolution, as far as describing a system whereby new species
* are created, has too many holes to be supportable, even with Gould's
* innovative "punctuated equilibrium" ideas.

That is generally how I feel. I hang onto the 6-day creation. Realizing
(believing) that evolution just won't hold much water (IMO).

I think that (when God kicked satan (spelled with a little s to show disrespect
for him) out of heaven) the earth might have already pre-existed with animals
on it. When satan and his cronies came to the earth the earth became without
form or void causing a re-creation of God's earth and all that is therein.

At the same time, I won't argue this very much either since, A) I'm not
a scientist B) I don't think that salvation really depends deeply upon
how quickly or recently the earth and all therein was created.

To me there just seems that there may be a big jump of time between
"God created the heavens and the earth" and "And the earth was without form".

When we all get to heaven, I don't think it'll be much of a surprise to
find out otherwise from the Lord. In heaven, I'm definitely won't loose any
tears over the matter. I'll probably spend the 1st 30 min. there getting
my breath seeing the wonder and splendor of it not really caring much about
what happened "in the beginning".
