Manna was provided fresh each morning.  It would rot if you tried to
keep it until the next day, except on the sabbath, when it would keep
2 days instead of 1.  Never try to go more than 2 days without feeling
the LORD in your life.

Imagine going weeks or months without feeling God's presense.  Talking about the
valley of death.  Even a desert is better to walk through than this situation. 
I should know since I have been there before.
