If you do end up going to a lawyer and you don't already have a lawyer in
mind, the lawyers at the Christian Law Association could probably help you. 
They help churches and pastors with legal questions/difficulties  without
charging them.  (They have churches across the nation supporting them monthly
so they can do this.)
