<< Your pastor is able to do his job, and you can help him do
his, if you will pray. >>
I have found that the above statement is so true! A few years ago there
was a problem in our church. It seemed like our pastor thought one thing
about this problem, while we thought another. What we didn't know was the
nights that our pastor spent on his knees in prayer for these people that was
causing problems in the church.
At times it seemed like he thought they weren't doing anything wrong, but all
the time he was trying to reach them and save them before it was to late.
Unfortunately the situation only ended when a death in the family came.
But I can truly say that my pastor, with a pastor's heart, did all that he
could do! He showed such love and compassion through the whole thing!
Looking back I see that he knew the whole situation all the time, but chose,
with wisdom, not to talk about it with other members in our church.
It kind of reminds me of an old saying my dear sweet Mother use to say, "The
more you stir stink, the worse it's gona stink!"
