EMail based news delivery

It should be repeated that wherever possible, services that are
available via HTTP or NNTP should not be duplicated via SMTP.  Only if
you are a UUCP only node doews this make sense.  Otherwise, you are
burning a lot of bandwidth to get something you are probably just
going to delete anyway.  The main justification for a list like HF is
the control that a list offers as compared to a newsgroup.  Else, how
would we handle the likes of Steve Winter and Jan?
