we were always taught by our pastor, that military service is wrong.
Then my four sons grew to adulthood and one particular son began to
question that bearing arms is wrong. This son also would like to
eventually become a policeman. He asked his pastor if he would call the
police if someone broke into his house and threatened his wife. The
pastor said yes. So my son replied, if you call the police but you
believe it's a sin to be a policeman, isn't just as much a sin to call
the police to have them do your dirty work? well, the pastor agreed, he
had a point. I hate guns myself but I try to see both sides of the
argument, pros and con.Sister Conant.
