My goodness, Satan himself was cast out of heaven for exalting
himself over God. This seem pretty close. =(
I remember when I was a teen how Nancy Grandquist was my idol. I
wanted to sing =-<> like here, play like her, act like her... I wanted
to "be" Nancy Grandquist. Well, that's not so bad since she's quite
talented and loveable but I had to submit to conviction that told me
"God" must be first in my life. I still love Nancy but I have learned
not to put people on pedistals anymore because people fail, but God
"Never" fails.
Just because you demand to be treated with royalty doesn't make you
better than anyone else. My quote is "Nobody's better than nobody" and
I mean that with my heart. It seems to me that when one "demands"
respect, others will resent it and feel the opposite way towards them.
You have to "earn" respect, not "demand" it. I'm not speaking of Nancy
Grandquist because she's a very precious person. I'm speaking of the
above "grand Poo-Bah" whatever his "blessed" name is, ha-ha! I'm sorry,
I don't mean to poke fun but it is pretty silly to me.
Another thought, when one puts himself upon a pedistal, they have
much to live up to, so when they fall, they fall a lot farther "down"
and a lot "harder".
God bless you my brothers and sisters in the Lord! You are prcious
in His sight (and to me also)!!
