Yes, the Alien Encounters attraction opened at Disney. I have a
feeling that I will be "black balled" for admitting that my family
has gone to Disney and went on this ride of sorts. My husband is in
radio and we get free passes almost every year for the whole family.
As for the attraction, it is very scary. I had just finished reading
"The Oath" by Frank Peretti before we had gone to Disney. If you
have read this christian fiction novel it can be very scary. I came
out of the attraction at Disney crying my eyes out. It is not a
place for young people, that is for sure.
I know many people are boycotting Disney for many reasons. There are
still many nice things at Disney and I feel that it can be a
selective experience. We attend because it is free and as a family
we enjoy spending the time together. We like roller coasters and
rides and parades and family fun.
As for the fact that they are being pro-gay and lesbian, so are many
other major companies. How many of you wear or buy your husband and
boys Dockers and other Levi-Strauss products? I have stayed away
from them since their pro-gay activities. There are many others that
we have not heard much about. I certainly hope no one travels to
Hawaii any more. :-] How about Sesame Street?
How far do we take these boycotts? Any body have any feelings?
