I heard on Beverly LaHay's (probably wrong spelling) radio show yesterday
that Disney's employment ratio of gays is about 60%. Plus a guest on the
show said that an interview with one of the writers let it be known that
there were 3 openly gay characters molded into the Lion King. Scar, Pumba,
and Timone. And that the central theme of the movie was to live and let
live because it's just a circle of life anyway. Who cares what you believe.
No repentence. Just pride of who you are in an unrepentent state. Plus
the other animations that folks have gone head over heals for is just about
as bad. But LK was the first to come right out with the qualities of those
gay animal characters of Scar, Pumba, and Timone.
About the only way to boycott anymore is with the pocketbook. Or lack of
use with a pocketbook.
