Prepare for extensive rambling on a subject that gets me going ...

I dont believe in boycotts and never did care for Disney. As far as Im
concerned, packing messages in the mouths of talking animals and
pretending that anything which children ooo and ahhh at is therefor
innocent is pretty sinister or dumb (depending on which side of the
screen you are on).

Boycotts ? I feel manipulated! Someone is telling me that the
corporate world is holy ? Someone is telling me that the unholy
activities of one corporation that they publicize are not matched by
another ? If we want to boycott anything, start with boycotting the
USA, which empowered the UN to destroy Rhodesia, is the driving force
behind the distrubution of pornography, refuses to close its borders
to drug trafficers, and has (as an entity) consistently stood behind
legislation which condones, of not promotes homosexuality. Don't blame
Disney for that. Disney is just doing what is politically, socially
and economically smart.

If we don't get a pile of people filled with the Holy Ghost and on
fire for God, it will remain obvious that the antichrist has little or
no resistance. Spiritual warfare is not economic... it is spiritual.=20

We homeschool and retain several advantages as a result:
- Superior education
- Fewer battles with ugly attitudes and language from the world
imported by "fellowship" with the kids whose parents are themselves
amoral.
- Ability to provide unhindered spiritual instruction

We can't find much to do in the way of amusements, in society, and are
finding out that this is not a serious problem.=20

I think the Perrotti novels, along with the Bob Larson exploits, are
some of the most grotesque misrepresentations and commercialization of
spiritual reality going. These sell like hotcakes, and I notice they
appeal to backslidden, and lukewarm people, as well as those who are
in half-way doctrines.  I would not recommend ANYONE reading them,
particularly Christians. Locally, we hear the publisher buying radio
time and reading these "ghost stories" on the air for a half hour at a
time to increase sales. If theres anything that annoys me, its
merchandising of Biblical stuff.

On the other hand, we live in this world... when Halloween (YES! That
terrible time originated when our druidic ancestors sacrificed virgins
on the dark hillsides of England) rolls around, my kids are allowed to
go from house to house and meet everyone... The old people like to see
them, not wearing witch and devil costumes, but fun stuff. (O how
ignrant I sound in this day of enlightened Christians, huh ?)

You know why ?=20

Because we are saved through a personal experience of Pentecost, and
our minds and consciences are pure through the remission of sins, and
through his spirit. When we are inclinded toward evil, it is an affair
of the heart, and the Lord makes us aware of it. Does He really ? Yes,
I believe He has and does. And somehow I am still able to abide with
people who do traditional Christmas, put steeples on their churches,
and even alow their kids to eat candy on easter. According to some, Im
yesterday's Pentecostal.. I have noticed some with new revelations
embracing the name of Yahweh and seeking to restore Sabbath keeping.
Others still have no use for men of God unless they are preaching
certain trendy things, or surrounded by a whirlwind of spiritual gifts
(supposedly).  So, if all dont mind, I'm going to capitalize on the
main thing, Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

We are not in a war with the world, and we are not friends with it.
What does that leave us ? Well, the riches of heaven, but you can
maintain that position only when there is something totally satisfying
going on in life that allows the world to be looked at as a evangelism
project, and not a source of recreation. Neither are we to be so
confused that we cannot be happy unless the world around us looks
godly. Its not. Its full of lost sinners who, in the blink of an eye,
will be in hell unless something gets in between them and their
casket.

I am offended that queers wear dockers too, since I like the cut of
the pants... I notice a lot of women do like to wear them too.

Still they are nice pants, and I have to wear some. If they show up at
Marshall's where I can afford them, they will end up in my closet. I
hope the day doesnt come that we have to get a microchip in our hand
or head just to buy Dockers.=20
