Old Indian Legend

It was said that indians would go out and skin a bear, tan
the hide, and then allow a squaw to give birth on said skin.
This would bring much luck and male children, and the
"blessing of a healthy child." One village had already
experienced the benefits of this ritual with two of their
squaws. So, this traveling salesman goes to this village and
told the Indians that he heard of a lady who received twins
simply by substituting a Hippopotamus hide for the bear
hide. He then promptly showed them one for sale. They
took it, tried it, and it worked! Twin sons!! So, the moral
of the story is:
"The sum of the sons of the hide of a Hippopotamus is
equal to the sum of the sons of the other two hides."
