Hey all,
What have you done to show appreciation for you pastor?
At Apostolic Life, we've been doing a special "something" during our
midweek services this month. The first week, the teens started singing
a song they wrote indicating their appreciation of Pastor Rogers. We
then cave them a money tree and cards. The second week, several the
the children carried baskets of food to the Pastor and his family.
Last week, the toddlers in church (including my son :-) ) pushed or
pulled toy lawn care and cleaning tools up to the front, with a
certificate presented to them indicating the members of the church will
be at their house this Saturday to be their "slaves" cleaning the
house, doing yardwork, etc. And don't tell them this, but this Sunday
after evening service we're doing a Turkey dinner for them.
When I was a member of Life Tabernacle UPC in Wichita Falls TX, the
congregation rented a limosine for Bro & Sis Elms and paid for a "night
on the town" for them, including a nice banquet dinner.
Any other ideas to show appreciation to the pastor?
