"grep" is the Unix utility for searching files based on content.  GREP
is an acronym (but converted to lower case because Unix hackers are
too lazy to hit the shift key) for Generalized Regular Expression
Parser, so called becuase it uses generalized regular expressions to
formulate the search patterns.
