You: (Bro. Joe)
I enjoyed your testimony that God is faithful to his promises. But, I
believe
that instead of saying "others of us", you would have been correct to say
"most of us" have been in those shoes (with holes in the soles) before

Yes,
Brother I agree, I just did not want to be presumtious as to imply that
all have the same experiences as I (except the sister this was intended
for), but neither do I wish to appear exclusive that I am the only one (as
Elijah cried) or one of a few that has experienced God performing miracles
on their behalf.
I know God is a good God and has been a faithful provider and protector
for his children for all generations. (There are many who can testify as to
Gods faithfulness).
However,
It is sad that some cannot "muster" the faith to trust God for big needs
as well as small.
Many people of our generation are often heard to complain about why God is
not doing the things now , in the USA, as he did in times past and is even
now doing in some foreign countries.

God has performed miraculous healings and restorative / creative miracles
for people throughout history.
But if you want to see miracles, there has to be a great need.
There has to be a blind person if you want to see God heal blind eyes.
We are a country with easy access to medical care, the doctors of our day
have increased in knowledge and are able to help much more serious problems
than they did in the days of Jesus's earthly ministry.
(Note: I am not opposed to medicine or medical care)

May I say , few people approach the Lord in prayer for a health problem
with the same faith when they know it is a problem that can be resolved by
medical personnel and medicine, as opposed to when He (Jesus) is their
**Only ** hope.
And so many people have become accustomed to taking care of their own
needs, with money, that they have a hard time giving God the money and
letting Him (GOD) take care of them.
It's ironic that people can trust family, trust business people, have
faith in jobs, (that we will be getting paid for the work we perform,) and
can trust a doctor to cut open our bodies or trust a pharmacist to give us
medication that will help us and not hurt us,.......
YET, have trouble trusting God to provide for a utility bill, food, etc.

And even apostolics who trust him with their soul , but do not trust him
with their money.
Or look at it this way, they are willing to give him their soul,
but not their money.
Go figure.
Just my thoughts.
May God Bless.
