You guys both amaze me!
I am neither a math wizard nor a programmer per say.
the only computer experience in my former years was a apple computer at a
local junior college where I brushed up on my math before entering a
anatomy / physiology class. (BTW which I did pass, <g>)
About two and a half years ago I was given a computer to use for church
work, The 486 I am currently using (now upgraded) . It originally came a
huge 210MB HD and a whole 4MB ram. It had the windows for workgroup 3.11
and Dos 6.2.
I have learned that then went on to Win95.
I install software myself , some easy some a little complicated.
Have done quite a few upgrades etc, myself.
Occasionally needing someone to bail me out.
(like the time I ran a disk compression program and came back to a totally
black screen).
I worked all night and made a long distance phone call to a friend in texas
to help get me out of that one.
I have taught myself to write HTML, and do a few scripts in IRC clients .
But I am a long ways from labeling myself a "programmer".
I am by nature more curious than is really good for me or my PC so I am
always downloading new programs and trying out new procedures.
*Occasionally successfully* : )
I am interested in checking out Linux, installing it and seeing what it
like.
Thanks for all the information.
And your "biographies"are both very interesting.
Regards,
Lynna Lunsford
