Thou art correct. I left a word out...... *NOT* needed to be in dere.

OOOOOOOoooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooooooh! Well, *looks* are deceiving
when they are just kinda lulled into a state of complacency because
of ignorance of the true meaning of scripture. Cornelius *must've*
had a storm down in his soul and had to do something about it before
he had the real fruit. Many denominations (even the apostolic movement)
are guilty of taking people just *so far* before declaring their salvation
is *complete*. The saints and aints sometimes just attain the ring (that
has been set out before them by their *organization*) but don't press on
to perfection (by what thus saith the word of the Lord).
At the same time... I think the blessings of God come to varying degrees
as well. John the Baptist was *filled* with the Spirit before he was
born and was annointed. There are other instances of pre-initial-outpouring
of the Holy Ghost as fortold in Joel 2:28 that people were filled with the
Spirit but didn't receive the baptism. This was probably quite an exciting
as well as comforting experience. There still were storms on the inside of
those individuals that force them to find more (if they were to listen to
the call of God). I've seen folks that have nearly litterally been blessed
right out of their socks, with the Holy Ghost all over them, and yet they
not receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. They have a *measure* of God,
but not the whole annointing (baptism). Yet the storm still rages.
I know that I felt absolutely *wonderful* when I received the B.O.T.H.G.
I also felt immensly better about two weeks later when I was baptised in
Jesus name to finish the process.
I think also the different denominations (Baptists, Methodists, etc) are
extremely political and social in nature. It's not politically and
socially correct thing to admit to the lack of peace in one's life, lack
of love, lack of kindness, etc. Those different movements in the past have
*had* the Holy Ghost (and some might still have it) and have probably lost
the usage of it. Go back when this country was young, when hundreds of folks
were just mowed over by the Spirit at the hands of the Methodists and Baptists
back then. There was no *oneness pentecostals* back then by title, just M's
and B's, and who knows maybe Presbyterians, etc. But, as time goes by, the
fathers *conviction* becomes the son's belief, and the grandson's notion.
Before long, there's a generation of heathen walking around.
I'll admit that Mother Theresa did a marvellous *work* of kindness towards
humanity. Her ministry puts many an apostolic to shame. Without the H.G.,
she did more work to help humanity in the different social programs than we
do with it. She was probably more humble than most. She probably had a
wardrobe that's 1/100th of any of us. She had little and she did much. A
tribute to her. Though she ministered supremenly to man, I also don't hear
*any* stories of people being baptized in Jesus name and being filled with
the HG either. In this case.... *we've* done greater works than she (as the
scriptures has said).
Jesus said "Greater works than this shall ye do." Well, what did the Lord
mean by this? He was healing the sick and raising the dead! I'm amazed at
how great a level of works this was, but we're called to do *more*! What
*is* more than healing the sick and raising the dead? Simple: bringing
the message of salvation through the name of Jesus, repentance and remission
of sins in his name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Nobody *prior*
to Jesus's death or even pentecost, had ever had *salvation* fully come to
themselves. Even if a saint of this day and age causes ONE to obtain
salvation in stated manner they've *done* a greater work than Mother
Theresa. Mother Theresa ministered to the physical (which is necessary and
we need to learn from that) but she didn't bring Jesus-name Holy Ghost
annointed
salvation to anyone.
I think it's important to minister to the *physical* before *spiritual*
needs are met. Look at what the Lord did.... he fed the multitudes on
the mount (Why? They must've been hungry.) before he ministered the
beattitudes to them. Physical ministry comes before spiritual ministry.
What does that mean to us? If there's someone that's struggling with
something... (maybe their car is broke and needs fixing, maybe they
need a babysitter while they work, maybe they need a sack of groceries,
or a light bill paid, maybe they need a room walpapered or painted,
*whatever*) .... that *need* is necessary for the local body to reach out
and meet before they are even *receptive* to the further workings in
Spiritual matters. When they see the physical ministry, they'll open up
to the truth of the spirutal ministry as it happens.
