me: That was me, Sis. and as SOON as I sent that post I
realized what a POOR choice of words that was. Not making
excuses, but I was at work and wrote it on my lunch break.
My prayer life is *very* important to me. My heart's desire is to be a
Spiritual
Warrior for the Lord. I believe that tongues is an important weapon
in Spiritual Warfare. The Lord has been manifesting this gift in my life
much more frequently in the past year. That is why it would greatly concern
me
if I did not pray in tongues regularly. I don't claim to have the gift of
tongues and
interpretation, but I believe God wants to use me in this area if I would
just get
"out of the way" so to speak. I have been guilty recently of quenching the
Spirit out of
fear (?) that it might be me wanting to receive the interpretation of a
message to the
church and *not* God. Do you know what I mean? Hope I don't get myself in
trouble again
over this one, but I am sincere and speaking from my heart.

As to my friend, I truly believe the reason she hasn't spoken in tongues
for
over 13 years is that she will not completely yield her tongue to the Lord.
She
wants to keep doing all the talking instead of letting Him speak. Sometimes
you
gotta just let go, and let God.
