Hmmmmmmmmmm.... actually very little.
There's really been not that many topics that have
been gavel thumped as *closed*. I'd even kinda question
as to the *how* closed they are. They'll all come up in
discussion some other time..... I think, when something
is considered *closed*.... it's more or less becomes a topic
to *cool down* a little bit on and suspend any ongoing postings
concerning such. A total elimination of the topic.... I don't
know if that's realistically possible.
Usually, it's the topics that have an element of Energizer
Bunny in them.... they keep going and going and going....
and the arguments given start to become circular in nature.
These topics also manage somehow to get incredibly passionate
in the heat of argument as well. People start to attack others
opinions and beliefs rather than a discussion of the topic.
Seems like the topics that have been closed are ....
Hair (length of)
Godhead (oneness - the *mother* of all threads for 6-9 months once)
Increasing Faith (I remember when about 6 months ago, but I'm not
sure of it being declared *closed*.)
TBN & Paul Crouch
Word of Faith Ministries, doctrines, & practices
And there may be more.
I think it's safe to say that the above list of topics are more-or-less
topics that are really touchy with the various members of the list.
I personally don't think that any of them are taboo in discussion.
At the same time, when these topics pop up.... discussions ensue, passions
flare, and tempers rage. If these topics can keep away from the *tempers*
then, I'd think any of them are game for further discussion (if we could
stay away from the personal attack, digs, and focused anger).
