What is s wrong with Sister Donna's saying Lord increase My faith?

Its' like in the bible when it was said "Lord I believe , help thou my
unbelief!"

The meaning is the same:
It's like saying "I have faith in you God , I know you can, but I want to
believe you for bigger and greater things."
And doesn't the scripture say we should "grow" as christians and mature?
grow in grace and knowledge?.......................................
Are we straining at gnats and swallowing camels here?
And the apostles said:...........................
Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Here below is Timotheus had bragged , brought good tidings of these peoples
faith and charity yet.......we see that they were lacking .....

1 Th 3:6 But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good
tidings of **your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of
us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
They , the apostles had even been comforted by the faith of these
people................
1 Th 3:7 Therefore, brethren, we were *comforted over you in all our
affliction and distress by *your faith:
1 Th 3:8 For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
1 Th 3:9 For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the
*joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
THey had brought them much Joy........Yet note below.......
1 Th 3:10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face,
and might *****perfect that which is lacking in your faith?******
Even though they bragged upon the faith of these people, even though
thinking of their faith had brought the writer much comfort and Joy there
was **still room for improvement*** , tp perfect that which is lacking!!!!

1 Th 3:11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
direct our way unto you.
1 Th 3:12 And the Lord make you to **increase and abound in love one
toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
1 Th 3:13 To the end he may ***stablish your hearts unblameable in
holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ with all his saints.
I am trying to establish here that we are all given a measure of faith ,
but it does not say we are given the ***same measure. And also our faith is
perfected , it grows and matures in our life experiences and how we handle
them before God.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Eph 4:12 For the *perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry,
for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the **unity of the faith, and of the
**knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the **fulness of Christ:
***************************NOTE:************************
Phil 3:12 Not as though I had *already attained, either were *already
perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I
am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Phil 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and *reaching forth
unto those things which are before,
Phil 3:14 I *press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus.

Now the word say's that Abrahams faith was made perfect by his
works........
And He is called the father of the faithful....So wouldnt it apply to us
also????

James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father *justified by works, when he had
offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
James 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and **by works was
*faith made perfect? (FAITH MADE PERFECT)
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham *believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the
Friend of God.
James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by
*faith only.

What I am saying is that Jesus spoke of little faith , having even faith as
a grain of mustard seed and of Great FAITH....THEN HE SAID WHEN HE
RETURNED TO THE EARTH WOULD HE EVEN FIND FAITH?
So I believe that we may all start out with a measure as it says , but it
may not be of the same amount.....But and even if it were, I think the
scripture definitely proves that you can exercise your faith , (Thus making
it stronger), and that be believing God and doing works of faith on our
part that we cause our faith to grow and to increase and to be made
perfect.

Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you,
always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand *perfect
and *complete in all the will of God.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of **full age, even
those who ***by reason of use** have their senses exercised to discern both
good and evil.
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us
**go on unto perfection;** not laying again the foundation of repentance
from dead works, and of *faith toward God, (THE BASICS, BUT to grow
spiritually by......)
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and
is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
<<<Jesus the author and*** finisher of our faith??? Sounds like a work in
progress to me.>>>>>>
Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners
against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Heb 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as
unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor
faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son
whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for
what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers,
then are ye bastards, and not sons.

<<<<<Growing IN The Lord>>>>>>>

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may *grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ:

1 Pet 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye
may **grow thereby:

2 Pet 3:18 But ***grow in grace, and in the **knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

So as you see......I see nothing wrong with her statement of asking God to
increase her faith.....
