Although I had used E-mail and the Internet throughout college, I didn't
really spread my wings until late in 1995. I had not yet discovered
H-F, but I had been on other Christian listservs. The one I spent the
most time on was called the "Bible List" (bible@virginia.edu). Somehow
I got involved in a Oneness v. Trinity debate that lasted for months.
The Oneness proponents on that list were Bro. Matthew Shaw, Bro. Frank
Welder, and me. I think we held our own. :-) We were often the
victims of some of the same ignorant statements to which Bro. Masoner
alluded.

I don't want to start the same problem all over again (and have
confidence in our moderators' judgment to zap this message if they
perceive this to be the case), but what exactly is wrong with Bro.
Bernard's definition of Oneness. I don't have any of his books in front
of me right now, but if my memory serves me correctly (which I think it
does) he says that Oneness belief can by stated in two basic
affirmations: 1) There is one God with no distinction of persons, and
2) Jesus Christ is the the one God incarnate. What could possible be
wrong with this definition? Just curious.
God speed,
Bro. Kirk
