You B4:
Mainly becuase, I'm not so sure the apostles *faith* increased
until after the Holy Ghost was given. I use the *mustard seed*
illustration to show that a *little* bit of faith goes a long, long,
long, long, long way. One doesn't evidently need a wheelbarrow full
of faith to move that mountain.... just a mustard seed. Of which,
we all probably have that very *seed* of faith.

 Me Now:

I know *why* you want to use this illustration, I just don't quite understand
*how* you can use it when you don't want someone else to quote the previous
verse because this was "before the Holy Ghost was poured out". With this
reasoning, then the illustration of the mustard seed is also not valid for us
, for the same reason, it was taught before the Holy Ghost was poured out. As
for me, I believe that all teachings of Jesus are valid (Matt 28:20 Teaching
them to observe "all things whatsoever I have commanded you").

As far as the "mustard seeds", according to the scriptures, they *grow*.

Mark 4:31-32
31	It is like a grain of *mustard seed*, which, when it is sown in the earth,
is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32	But when it is sown, it *groweth* up, and *becometh greater* than all
herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may
lodge under the shadow of it.
