Actually, it was Kathy who said it (Anthony's wife). Don't you read the
signatures at the end of the posts? :-)

Me Originally:
>>This reminded me of a sermon that was preached at our Youth Week last
>>year. The basic idea was that *God loves us so much, he'll even
>>break his own word.* (Not an exact quote by the way, but its 3:30 in
the
>>morning soooo.....) Sound pretty strong to you??

The Response:
>No way...He'll never break His Word. If He did, then God lied and
>it's impossible for Him to lie. Just because someone preached it
>doesn't mean it's true...His Word is forever settled in Heaven. He
magnified
>His Word above His Name! His Word will never pass away. Another
>sacred cow...

Like I said originally, there are those who think that this invalidates
the word of God. I just can't see that. I don't see that this would
mean that God would lie either. IMHO, God can do *anything* for the
glory of His name. The law says, *wages of sin is death*, BUT........God
changed this law, when He took on a fleshly body, and became the ultimate
sacrifice for us! He can raise a body from the dead, that His name might
be glorified, even though the law says *once* to die, not twice! :-)

Perhaps my words are being taken to mean something that I've plainly (I
hope anyway) stated that I do not mean?

KATHY (Wish I had a tape of that sermon, so ya'll would be able to hear
it too. It truly was a wonderful, Holy Ghost filled sermon.) Barnett
