Just because the "why" is written down doesn't imply it will be
understood.  For instance, do you understand: neurosurgery? assembler?
COBOL? radiochemistry? differential equations? or a host of other
things.  These things are written down in many readily available places
yet I dare say most on this list don't come close to understanding all
of these topics, much less God's will just because it is written down.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then
face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I
am known. 

1 Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and
the weakness of God is stronger than men. 
1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world
to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;
