me: Webster's definition of ignorance is the state
of being ignorant. When one is ignorant he /she is
destitute of knowledge or education, or lacking
knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified.
I certainly am NOT destitute of knowledge, OR education,
Dave. I will admit to lacking knowledge, or
comprehension, with regard to many things in
God's Word, but I believe this is where the Holy Ghost
steps in . No doubt you will also find fault with the
fact that I regularly pray for God to illuminate His Word
and give me a deeper understanding when I read and
study the Bible. I have had the Holy Ghost for five
years and have read the Bible in it's entirety once.
I am reading it through again this year using the daily B.R.E.A.D reading.
(I am right on schedule too) In
addition I have read the New Testament and various
books of the Old Testament several times
and have used bible study materials on specific subjects
of interest. I mention this only to make the point that
I am NOT looking for a "hand out" from God, nor am I
lazy in the exercise of my faith. I desire (hunger) to learn
more about my Lord and Savior. I know people that
have been "in church" for years whom have *never* read
the Bible in it's entirety, but claim to know SOOOOOO
much about the Word of God. I still know so little,
but each day, as I study, my understanding increases.
I thank God for His Word, but I know I will NEVER
fully understand it all UNTIL I stand before Him
in Glory. For ANY of us to state otherwise,
would be a lie or a strong delusion.
