I've seen this "Christian Scientist" phrase used a couple of times in
this thread. The commonly understood meaning of "Christian Science" is
of the cult founded by Mary Baker Eddy. The homepage of the Church of
Christ, Scientist, is at:

  http://www.tfccs.com/

They publish the _Christian Science Monitor_ newspaper.

They believe, in essence, sin, disease, and even death is a result of
self-delusion. Sin and all that follows exists in this world,
according to Christian Scientists, because of mistaken belief in sin.
Christ was a Prophet who showed mankind that we can overcome sin just
as he did, through the power of Positive Confession. Christ's
crucifixion and resurrection was not for atonement of sin, but rather
was a demonstration of faith.

>From their "Questions and Answers" page:

Heaven and hell are not regarded as specific destinations one reaches
after death, but as states of thought, experienced in varying degrees
here and now, as well as after death.

What that all has to do with creationism, evolution, or the big bang, I
really don't know.

> Your sig file is confusing to the belief you espouse.

I always thought George's sig file was kinda clever -- using Biblical
truth to poke fun at mainstream thought.
