Hmmmmm, I wonder what the *whole* quote reads...
Rom. 14:22-23
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that
condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat [certain foods that might
offend a neighbor and cause him to stumble--from verses 14-21], because he
eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Hmmm, it seems to me that the majority of this passage, including verse 23
(in its entirety) refers to the fact that some people (also Christians)
were uncomfortable eating certain foods because they thought them
"unclean". Paul teaches that we should not deliberately eat such things in
front of those people because it might make "thy brother stumble[th]," or
make him weak, or offend him. Paul says it isn't right to do this to each
other. "Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and
things wherewith one may edify another" (verse 19). Therefore, let's not
do things for the sake of offending others with our religious practices,
but for the sake of doing those things as an expression of faith. "..for
whatsoever is not of faith is sin."

I am very curious as to what your statement "So it's not a matter of "give
me more faith." Why not use what you have and it will grow..." has to do
with because no one said they had **no** faith along with their actions
(which is what verse 23 talks about), only that they wished their faith
would increase (something apostles also asked). So I fail to see the
point.

I am also very curious as to what *exactly* this verse (whole, or in part)
has to do with my quote from I Cor. 1:25,27??? (Which is where Dave
originally placed this faith/sin verse.) Frankly, I fail to see any
connection. I Cor. 1:25,27 is very true. There are things God has put on
this earth that to him are a piece of cake to understand but to even the
wisest man on earth, they are a mystery.
