Well Sir,
I feel sorry for the man who wrote this article.
In all my days in church every woman I ever saw fall out in the floor fell
in a modest position with her skirt in its proper place, modestly covering
her legs.
Also in almost every instance someone was close by with a shawl, blanket,
coat or sweater to cover the portion of her legs and feet from her hemline
downward.
Also , I have never seen any man in any of the churches I have visited or
been a member of be out of line in any way with any woman , and especially
not someone else's wife.
On the contrary , The men usually gather on oneside of the church near the
alter and the women on the other side while worshipping.
My experience is that the people I have seen worshipping God with great
zeal were still modestly covered, and were never improper in their behavior
toward the opposite sex.
If people are doing as the man claims I would personally question what
Spirit they really were being influenced by...
As far as someone "teaching" you to say certain syllables and calling that
speaking in tongues, That is just not the Holy Ghost.
If you had to imitate someone, if they "taught" it to you, if they said
just say what ever comes to mind, Then that is ****NOT*****the Holy GHost.
When the Holy Ghost comes it "falls" upon you, fills you up, bubbles up
within your soul and bursts forth like a gushing spring coming forth from a
underground river.
It is a experience that cannot be duplicated by the devil, you feel
clean.....you have joy....and you feel love in your soul.
Like the song says ....It thrills you fills you....
As far as feeling bad that Jesus 's name gets associated with lunacy ,
Jesus didnt seem to mind what people said about him, called him.
It didnt change what he did, even though they accused him of being a wine
bibber, They even accused him of having a demon or being a devil because he
delivered a demon possessed man.
and as far as Pentecostals.....
And on the day of Pentecost, "these are not drunk as ye suppose"......their
great joy, zeal, excitement and the multitude of languages being spoken
causing the local people to think that they must be drunk.
and criticism and persecution against the church is what caused the gospel
to be carried around the world as the people were scattered
abroad....carrying the good news with them.
It is my prayer that this man would be able to be a part of a truly
apostolic service and that God would remove the scales from his spiritual
eyes, soften his heart , and let him truly hear with a open heart the word
of God.
Finally, as far as women prophesying ..The word of God says that the
evangelist Phillip had four virgin daughters who prophesied. Any honest
bible scholar knows that the scripture in regard to women keeping silent in
the church meant they were to wait until they got home and ask their
husbands to explain if they had any questions.
In those days most women were not educated, they did not read or write, and
according to traditional Jewish customs only the men recieved education in
regard to the Law of Moses and the prophets so there was much the women did
not understand about the word of God.
Women are not supposed to teach or usurp authority over a man, but if the
man in charge give a woman permission to speak, she is within her proper
place .
So if the Pastor invites a lady to the pulpit he is the one responsible to
God for what she says (her own self being accountable also), and he is also
able to set her down or correct her if she gets out of line.
It is his responsiblity to know who he asks to minister to his congregation
wether they are a man or woman . He is still the watchman.
Forgive me if I have missed some points.....
I truly feel sorry for this man as it is evident There is a spirit of
confusion tormenting him.
May God Bless.
