Me:
Umm... This is a reference to the Israelites treading around the moutain
for forty years: covering the same ground over and over and over until all
the faithless had dropped into the dirt and those who were too young to
have refused to go in (those who wanted to enter, lived to enter except
Moses and Aaron ;-) saw the price of disobedience/faithlessness and when it
came their turn posses the land, they knew what to do.
