HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY

I'm home, I'm home, I'm home. God loves me best ;) As I've posted (I
think I did anyhow) I've been in Jax Fla for 2 weeks working. My
company originally planned for me to be gone 4+ weeks. Needless to say
28 straight days working in Fla wasn't a happy thought. After 10 days I
told God I'd had enough and was ready to go home. When the mgr came
down Tues, he looked at what I had done, was amazed and sent me home
Thurs. Today (Friday) after looking at a place to stay I just felt like
checking the trany fluid (she said she had but...) and lo and behold if
the alt. was sitting there with 3/4 of one bolt out. After driving to
the garage at my Dad's (misting rain) I discovered the top mounting
bracket was broken in half. After the hardware store got $0.44 for a
bolt, nut, and washer the mechanic(sp?) got $5 for the bracket. So for
$5.44 the car is going again. Sure beats the $200 to have the bolts
tapped and replaced, a new timing belt and all new exterior belts (that
happened once before with the AC compressor). Guess it pays to listen
to those little voices. The way I see it God sent me home in time to
find and fix this car before Shelah was stranded on the side of the
road. And he allowed me to find the problem when I could fix it for less
than $6 in less than 3hrs instead of 1 week, a mech, a wrecker, and over
$200(happened this spring with AC). And this helped me develop a
little(not much mind you) patience to boot.
