I personally think we ought to forgive everyone and start all over. I never noticed that the particularly offensive post was not originally posted to H-F. And thought superdave had posted it to the list.... But at any rate, none of us is perfect and I too need forgiveness from time to time. Leaving this in the wise hands of our moderators.
