These sound like questions that the authors of "Back to the Future" movies
had on their minds.
My guess is (purely unscientifically) that with the light, since you are
traveling at the same rate that it is, it would not illuminate anything
ahead of you.
For the second, you could never "return" to the future, because you would
never have been "created" by those exact gene structures.
