<< Sis please send me more info on conducting a the Virtual Hell, please.
Sis Kathy Garza cgarza@texoma.net Thank you. >>

Why Certainly Sister Kathy!

I would love to do that!! It seems I should save this somewhere because I
get the chance to tell all the new comers about Virtual Hell every year. I
have to admit, the first year we did this I was probably the biggest skeptic
at our church. I never thouht it could work but BOY WAS I WRONG! :) What
an outreach this has proved to be!

The best thing is the devil's mad and I'm glad because we took his little day
back and made and outreach of it and he sure fights us every year at this
time!

What VIRTUAL HELL is....... is an "alternative" to a haunted house. But it's
not ghosts and monsters..... it's "real life situations"

In Bellflower, CA we have the most awesome drama team. Our leaders have
taken advantage of that. We also have some of the best professionals in the
Hollywood industry who attend our church. We have a man who heads up the
whole thing, that would be Bro. Eric, who works for one of the studios so
it's all done very professionally. Then we have my hubby, Ron, who is a
professional sound and lighting man for the music industry (also heads up our
church sound and has a business installing church sound systems PLUG PLUG :)
He does all sound, sound effects, lighting etc. Our youth director, who is
also my nephew, Bro. John, head up our drama dept and he has a special gift
for that. We have a lady named Sis. Lita who does costumes and make-up and I
help her there.

The whole thing is set-up like a haunted house where you walk from room to
room. In this case each room has a different drama take place. I'm not
exactly sure yet of all the rooms they're having this year but a few are the
same as last year. This is our 3rd year doing this. It changes every year.
This year I know that when you first arrive you go into what looks like a
run down thetre with old seats, screen etc. Someone is there to stamp your
hand. You are told about Virtual Reality, Virtual Hell. Then you end up
in the middle of this street scene where a major car accident has occured and
a man is stuck in the car needing help. Some young people run by take his
wallet, rob some passers by, you see drug scenes and roadside drunks, many
things you might see on the L.A. streets and the repercussions of that hard
life.

There is a room where an abusive father comes in and begins yelling and
pushing around his wife and family. This one hits home for many. So many
people with tears! He shoves the daughter out of the room which you follow
to the next scene and a picture of a mime is on the wall but it begins moving
and talking to her convincing her to take the pills and end her life. Teen
suicide is at the top of the chart for teen deaths. This hits home with a
lot of youth! And her brother who is listening to hard rock music, in the
drug world...... well this is a new room, I'm not really sure where that
one's going yet. There an insane asylum and it goes on and on.

Toward the end you find yourself stuck in a cage as you see flames all around
you and the devil is walking around the cage saying "I've got you now, you're
mine and you will serve me".

Somehow a beautiful angel appears and leads them out to a beautiful peaceful
place where Jesus meets them. Last year they created a beautiful rain forest.
This year it just might be a haven. Jesus meets them and talks to them about
all the things they've seen. So many are in tears and they are the ones he
usually reaches out to. One of our ministers plays this part well and is
very sensitive to the Holy Ghost as this is a very crucial time, sort of like
our alter call. He asks them if they remember various scenes, such as the
abuse and so many children nod their heads with tears flowing. Adults
remember, Macho men who nothing can get to try to hide it all but they're all
affected one way or another. He tells them, you don't have to live in fear
anymore. You can find peace in Jesus.

The next step is the church where we have videos playing of our choir and
there are people ready to pray with those who wish to pray and should they
choose not to pray, there is another exit but they still have to walk through
the church and see what is going on there. We have welcomers and greeters
who try to meet everyone and invite them back. Refreshments as they leave.

I know I've missed a lot here because I'm not exactly sure of the plan this
year but I'm sure you get the idea. It's the biggest outreach we have each
year. God has allowed us to take the devil's biggest day back and turn it
around to win souls and as I said before the devil's mad and fights us so
strongly this time of year.

The awesome thing is that I feel the reinforcements of angels the Lord has
sent to this L.A. area! That has to tell you something! We must be tearing
down strongholds and breaking barriers. God's so awesome!! It's so exciting
to be a part of that fight!!

God Bless You! Let me know if you have any questions. I'm sure I've missed
something here.
