I am single and always have been (never married - even B.C.). It is
unbelievablethe **pressure** that you get ***from church people*** to get
married! Constantquestions, people telling you how to change "so you can catch
someone",telling you, "you're too picky", stating "they can't see anything wrong
with you - why aren't you married?",

Pressure, pressure pressure! I know that word for some reason.
Which if everybody thought I was complaining the other day about the blind date,
I was just pouting some, not complaining. But I know of the
pressure. When out of my youth group when I was 16-18, we had over
half get married before they graduated HS. Only 2 of the couples
are still together. Why? Because they were rushed into marriage by
their dreams of a perfect life and it being a bed of roses. All most got
was the thorns. Even today when I go home to my old section, many
ask me if I am dating, I say no, just looking still as I am very picky and
very choosy.
FOr everyone, the *blind date* turned out to be a girl
i remembered from Youth camp afew years ago, she had a sweet
personality but I didn't want to go more than friends and the preachers
and other saints kept bugging me etc.... etc....
But our girls are pressured to marry preachers from bible school, the boys
pressured to go to bible school, be a preacher and bring home
a wife. That is the only thing I have against some of the people I know
as that is what they expect me to do.I know a lot of times they want to
help, but sometimes they help too much.
as for those 5 girls in N. Hampshire, they have the right method, praying
for the husband, that is something all singles should do is pray for
God to give the spouse and not go on the spare of a moment attraction.
