>To teach that Melchizedek was in fact a theophony, (or an appearance of

>Hebrews.

Bro. Gossett,
The writing I submitted was not my own but one of several I had submitted
from previously published works by various authors on the subject of
theophanies.
My intent being to share some articles and not particuarly the endorsing of
any of them , or in creating a doctrine.
The point being about the different forms God has or may have used as a
theophany.....
I am not now and never do promote any doctrine that would endorse a three
person trinity belief.
However I do believe God can appear any time , anyplace and in any form he
chooses.
Just like I believe God is sovereign and can do anything He so desires.
Yes, Jesus had a mother, But I will not argue with you wether Melchizidek
had a mother or not (since I was not there to know personally) and since
the bible says he didnt have mother or father and I am not going to argue
against the bible and say this is what it says but it means .."Not a
mother or father in the priesthood". (Seems like this would be to important
a point for the scholars to have left out in the translating process dont
you think?) Your view which may be a valid explanation...but cannot be
proven and would have to be offerred in the spirit of a opinion rather than
a provable fact.
So as I said I cannot prove you wrong except to quote the same scripture
which you are already aware of , and as you do not believe the scripture
adequately explained its own true meaning then there is not much basis of
scriptural proof left on my part is there? : ).
These writings were after all offerred for friendly discussion. : )
And it is good to hear the many different interpretations.
May God Bless.
