Bro. Mathis:
To whom did he pay tithes ?  Melchizedek.  without father , without mother,
without beginning, without ending, the Prince of Salem, being interpreted
The Prince Of Peace. The only Prince of Peace that I know is Jesus. 

Me:
Melchizedek was not JESUS Christ but a manifestation of ***CHRIST*** (the
Spirit of God/God) in human form.  He could not have redeemed the lost and
been a sacrifice for US because He was not related to us. ;-)

As to just who He was consider this:

Jeremiah 25:29
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and
should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will
call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of
hosts.

City called by ***MY*** name... Jerusalem Y'all!

Christ existed from the beginning UNCHANGABLE.  He, God, was not changed
when He manifested Himself as Mel and received the tithes which He (God)
told the Pharisees that He (God) received in that form and He (God) was
UNCHANGED as he stood speaking to the Parisees in the FLESH of the
***MAN*** Jesus.

Those arguments about 'lineage' and the like are TOTALLY unsupported at
best. ;-)

God MANIFESTED in the flesh: Many manifestations (only ONE as 'saviour' in
Jesus); One God who IS Spirit!
